Roadside service in an emergency is what the National Motor Club is all about, but this company does much more than offer breakdown services. Unlike many other roadside assistance services, National Motor Club offers all of its members the discounts and benefits often reserved for premium plans, though you will need to pay more for the basic plans. You can also get the option to pay in manageable monthly installments.

This roadside service has five tiers of plans, each with increasing benefits. You can choose from the Basic, Protection, Plus, Premier and Shield plans. All of the plans provide 24-hour coverage for any roadside emergencies that may occur, and you can choose to be billed monthly or pay for an entire year upfront. The plans are unavailable for residents of California, Washington, Alabama and Alaska, although members can still get service if they break down in those states.

This motor club offers many attractive extras, including a travel interruption reimbursement of up to $500 that is included with each plan. This can cover your meals, lodging and transportation expenses if your vehicle needs service when you’re over 100 hundred miles from home.

National Motor Club also offers extras, like prescription drug discounts ranging from 10 to 60 percent, vision care discounts of 15 to 60 percent off eyeglasses and contacts, and 15 percent off Lasik and PRK services. Trip-planning services and maps are also included with your membership.

One of the best extras provided by this road service is the emergency medical-travel assistance when you’re 100 miles or more away from home. This is a great benefit if you ever become seriously ill or injured while on the road. It is available with every plan except Security Basic. The service also provides a reimbursement of up to $300 with the Security Shield plan to cover medical expenses incurred from an injury in a covered accident.

The company has been around for decades and is a standout choice for auto, motorcycle and RV owners. From the 24-hour roadside assistance to the generous legal and medical reimbursements, National Motor Club is an impressive service with a lot to offer.
